On Thursday 7th July 2022 Andy G8CPZ/P a radio amateur from England reached the summit of Scafell Pike and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 18 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF amateur radio band.
The summit of Scafell Pike is 978 metres (3209 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
