On Wednesday 3rd August 2022 Fritz DL/HB9IQL/P a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Schächer and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 29 contacts in total working on the 20, 17 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Schächer is 921 metres (3021 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
