And as an add-on to Takis comments just for the records this used to be a small aiport. It was the Marathonas airport used for small private aircrafts like cessna 172 from local marathonas air clubs or other Attica state air clubs. What was weird in this runway (which is used as the main canoeing course) is that it had a huge antenna exacly beside the runway on the right side as we see it, an antenna of 100 ft high. This was always a great danger for any aircraft which attemped land or take off from that airport.
