On Sunday 28th August 2022, Michael DB7MM/P and Roland DH4RA/P, two radio amateurs from Germany reached the summit of Schneeberg and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 86 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40, 30, 20 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Schneeberg is 1051 metres (3448 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database
