On Saturday 6th April 2024 at 07:21 UTC, Klaus DL6MST, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Bernd DL2DXA/P, a radio amateur from Germany, who was operating from Sebnitzer Wald und Kaiserberg FFH (DLFF-1155), on the 40m amateur radio band. Bernd made a total of 216 contacts while at the Reserve.
Sebnitzer Wald und Kaiserberg FFH (DLFF-1155)[Sebnitz Forest and Kaiserberg], is a protected area of 239 hectares, located in the state of Saxony to the north of Sebnitz, Germany. The area was designated as a Special Area of Conservation under the EU's Habitats Directive in 2011 and is part of the Natura 2000 network.
Natura 2000 aims to protect many of Europe's most vulnerable and threatened habitats and species.
