On Saturday 9th July 2022 Reiner EA4HIH a radio amateur from Spain reached the summit of Siete Picos and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 30 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 17 metre amateur radio bands.

The summit of Siete Picos is 2137 metres (7011 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
