St. John’s United Church

St. John’s is an active parish church in the United Church of Canada.

This church was formerly a place of Methodist worship and was only following a 1925 Act of Parliament when the Congregational, Presbyterian
and Methodist churches in Canada combined to form the United Church of Canada.

Most of the present church building dates to June 1888 when reopened following a fire which destroyed the church built in 1869.
