On Tuesday 15th August 2023, Jeffery KK7DAK, a radio amateur from Portland, OR reached the summit of Strawberry Mountain and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 17 contacts in total working on the 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Strawberry Mountain is 2761 metres (9058 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
