On Monday 30th October 2023, Pat K7GUD, a radio amateur from Victor, ID reached the summit of Swede Peak and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 74 contacts in total working on the 30m, 20m, 15m, 12m and 10m amateur radio bands.
