On Friday 1st August 2023, Kaz 7N1FRE/1, a radio amateur from Japan, reached the summit of Taishakuzan and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 46 contacts in total working on the 2m, 40m, 20m, 17m and 15m amateur radio bands.
