On Sunday 30th July 2023, Teysuya JL1SDA/7, a radio amateur from Japan, reached the summit of Oosugidake and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 5 contacts in total working on the 40m amateur radio band.
The summit of Oosugidake is 1922 metres (6306 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Oosugidake is in the Fukushima Prefecture on Honshu Island.
