On Thursday 13th October 2022, Waka JG0AWE/0, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Takappyouyama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 13 contacts in total working on the 70cm, 2, 40, 30 and 15 metre amateur radio bands.
The summit of Takappyouyama is 1747 metres (5732 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
Takappyouyama is in the Nagano Prefecture on Honshu Island.
