The Glenelg-Kylerhea turntable ferry

The Glenelg-Kylerhea turntable ferry (StreetView)
Since 1982, from Easter to October and the weather is OK, the ferry MV Glenachullish i operated from Glenelg on the Scottish mainland to Kylerhea on the Island of Skye.

This ferry is unusual because the car deck is a turntable operated by the crew. It's the only ferry this kind in the World.

From 1969 to 1975 when it was built it was operated at Ballachulish until the nearby bridge opened.
