On Thursday 6th October 2022, Stefan HB9HCS/P, a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Tochuhorn and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 9 contacts in total working on the 20 and 17 and metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Tochuhorn is 2661 metres (8730 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
