The brick built Twemlow Viaduct spans the river Dane northeast Holmes Chapel. The viaduct has 23 arches and is 32 metres (105ft) above the river.
The bridge carries the electrified west coast mainline rail services running between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly amongst other destinations.
Here on Street View in April 2021 the gantries’ supporting the overhead power lines are clearly visible on the viaduct.
