On Friday 2nd September 2022, Mat OE9KBV/P, a radio amateur from Austria reached the summit of Vallüla and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 28 contacts in total working on the2 metre VHF and the 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
