On Tuesday 2nd August 2022 HB9HRM/P a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Silvrettahorn and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 16 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
