On Monday 30th October 2023, Arthur OE/HB9CEV/P, a radio amateur from Switzerland, reached the summit of Südliche Sarotlaspitze and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 40 contacts in total working on the 30m amateur radio band.
