On Friday 29th July 2022 Alex YU0W a radio amateur from Serbia reached the summit of Veliki Čemernik and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 8 contacts in total working on the 20 and 30 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Veliki Čemernik is 1638 metres (5374 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
