On Monday 1st May 2023, Marcin 9A/SP9MPZ/P and Wojtek 9A/SP9LPK/P, two radio amateurs from Poland reached the summit of Veliki Zavižan and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
Marcin and Wojtek made a total of 27 contacts on the 2m, 20m and 15m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Veliki Zavižan is 1676 metres (5499 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
