ALES West operates three different railway gauges. Our three sizes include narrow gauge (2'), grand scale (7.5"), and G gauge. The two larger gauges — 2-foot and 7.5 inch — are big enough even for a grown-up to ride. "G-gauge" is a model train designation corresponding to a 1/32 scale, roughly twice as big as your average "Christmas morning" model train. For every foot of track, every moment of just rolling along, there's quite a bit of behind-the-scenes work. Fortunately, we happen to love trains.
