On Thursday 23rd March 2023, Paul VA6MPM/P, a radio amateur from Innisfail, AB reached the summit of Youngs Peak and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 4 contacts in total working on the 15 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of Youngs Peak is 2815 metres (9236 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
