On Monday 18th July 2022 JR8MHA/8 a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Youteizan (Ezofuji) and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 18 contacts in total working on the 40, 30 and 17 HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Youteizan (Ezofuji) is 1898 metres (6627 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
