On Saturday 12th November 2022, JM1NCT/0, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Yunomaruyama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 29 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Yunomaruyama is 2101 metres (6893 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
Yunomaruyama is in the Nagano Prefecture on Honshu Island.
