On Thursday 13th April 2023 Michal FS/OM2DX a radio amateur from the Slovak Republic activated WWFF FFF-1245 - Zones humides et marines de Saint Martin (Wetlands and areas of Saint Martin)
WWFF is an award scheme for amateur radio operators which aims to highlight the importance of protected flora and fauna,
Michal made a total of 115 contacts ion the 15m and 10m amateur radio bands while he was in the FFF-1245 area on Saint Martin Island.
The Saint-Martin Nature Reserve was created in 1998. It covers over 3060 hectares and 11 km of coastline, in the northeast of the Saint Martin. The Marine Reserve covers the main part of the reserve. In the northeast of the island the area Nature Reserve covers the rocky coast, cliffs, beaches and mangroves.
