I have some doubts here. You can just barely make out the number of the ship. At first I was convinced it was a 10, then an 11 (at one point a 12 but that wouldn't make sense as there is not a 12 in this class).
If it is a 10 then this is a differnt shot of the same ice breaker that is in dry dock to the SW. If it is 11 then this is the sister ship as identified.
Birds eye view shots on N/S orientation are usually taken on dates much distant from the E/W...
I think you meant C-135 Variant. It looks a lot like the NC-135A "Rivet Digger"
There were three of them that were suposed to be used for verification of the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty. They were all stationed in Kirkland AFB. Later one was used as a support and target airplane for the Airborne Laser Program in the '80s.
Strange. The BirdsEyeView are much better pictures of the roof so what does it buy them to block out the lower resolution pictures.
I think this clearly llustrates the futility of trying to censor these images. There are so many alternative sources that censoring a picture (or many information source for that matter) would just slow a determined person down.
There is another sculpture just like this next to (north I think) the 'world trade center' on Baltimore's inner harbor. Shows up really well in birds-eye-view.
Set exposure timer ... throw camera as high as you can ... pray you catch camera ... catch camera ... say prayer of thanks that you caught the camera ... view shot ... curse shot ... repeat as needed.
The aircraft had operated with Eastern Air Lines before going to the Nomads Air Travel Club. Bought in 2003 and after getting it into flying condition it was flown to Miami via Atlanta. Plans are to return the aircraft to full airline configuration and...

Another cool place 6to hunt around in LiveLocal Bird's Eye View. The facility to the West has an F-22 Raptor and some very interesting test stands as well as a C-17 testbed.
In the North and South views in LocalLive's Bird's Eye View the velodrome looks finr but in the East and West views it has been almost completely destroyed.
I've gotten to be that way about missile sites. Wait 'til you start seeing them in the patterns on the ceiling above your bed. That's when you need to start worrying. :)
I'm just guessing but if you slide up NW along the same street you'll see those wiggles always extend outwards from a crosswalk. Maybe these are to ward drivrs who can't see ahead but can see the center line that there is a crosswalk ahead.
Gothic was a 14th century style. Fortresses like this were built up until about the 1500's. This was built 'for fun' probably in the 1700's. Soi it probably was never built as a real castle/fortress. Think of it as some rich person's very expensive lawn ornament.
In the Victorian era (late 1800s) the same thing became populare except instead of new castles the rich prefered ruins. They actually built ruins from scratch.
Bruce Bodine, 48, and his then-employee Dan Antilla painted the face in 1994, shortly after the building was constructed.
Bodine has several friends and relatives who are pilots, and said he thought it would be a fun way to mark the building so they could identify it easily from the air.

At this location the 77th RAF Strategic Missile Squadron operated 15 Thor IRBM launchers from 15 June 22 1959 to 1 July 1963. They were withdrawn as part of the secret agreement between Kennedy and Khrushchev ending the Cuban missile crisis, under which all Thor missiles were to be removed from Europe.
Zoom in to the flight line on the east side of the runwaya nd you can see that they are prepping for an Air Show. All the static displays are set up and some of the concesion stands. No crowds yet. I think the planes at the north end of the flight line are the ones that will be performing in the sir show.
Form a 501c3 corporation (i.e. non profit). Raise a bunch of money. Find a coastal city that will let you dock it. Spend a whole lot of $$ cleaning it up (these ships are floating toxic waste dumps with PCBs and asbestos just to name two contaminants). Open ship for tourists.
Optional: Sign up lots of nostalgic old-timers to come restore the ship to the point of being operational and offer cruises.
In Google Earth enable the National Geographic layer (yeah, I know, I ignored that layer too) and then go to Africa and look for little red airplane icons.
Hmm. I've googled around and can't find any connection between Hangar 2 or Hangar 3 and the space shuttle. In Google Earth these hangars are incorrectly tagged as wind tunnels. The great big wind tunnel on the other side of the runway (see my pics of it I submitted yesterday) was used for airflow testing on the shuttle so maybe they are confused. The shuttle isn't really that big that it needs giant hangars like these. Maybe the shuttle stopped in here while on a piggy back ride to avoid...
I found the "Man on a Camel" posted at Google Earth Hacks. A discussion about the post mentions that it is part of the National Geographic Layer.
Enable that layer in Google Earth and there will be a sprinkling of a few hundred little red airplane icons. These mark itty-bitty high res areas like this one. I've been poking around in them all day. Lots of animals and villages. Most of them are just deserts and dunes though.
This was mentioned in House of Commons debate where they were asking for 8 million ponds to fix it:
"In June 2003, Southend experienced a disaster whereby land slip occurred on four sites, all of which were located along the frontage to the Thames estuary, set back from the water line behind the main road frontage. The largest of those occurred at a location known as the bandstand, which resulted in the ground slipping some 14 m and the destruction of...
It also like noon as the shadows are straight north. There not many cars on the highways and all the schools have empty parking lots. So its a weekend.
Then there is the USS Midway. It arrived in Oakland Oct 7, 2003 and departed May 23, 2004.
During the 2003 to 2004 season Cal played all its games in 2003.
So I assume it is 2003.
