In the future, if you want to update a map, instead of submitting a new, map please submit a new thumbnail using the update imagery link(s) above on the right, and post the new URL in a new comment.
Thanks!
For future submissions please post your more info link in the "More Info URL:Wikipedia / etc" field instead of the "Description" field on the submission page.
Thanks!
In future posts you'll need to make sure your thumbnail and your map URL are from the same source. In this case you submitted a non map thumbnail with a Google Maps URL I'll fix this one but it will be the only freebie you get. :)
Please take a few minutes to read the FAQ and the Tutorials Forum.
Please take a little time to read our FAQ and the Tutorials Forum. Thumbnails need to be from the same source as the map URL. I fixed this one, but future submissions with mis-matched thumbs and URLs will be rejected...Thx
Welcome to VGT!
Your submission was a Google Maps URL and a Bing Birds Eye View (BEV) thumb. The map URL and thumb must be from the same source. I fixed this one, but future submission like this will be rejected. Please take a little time to read the FAQ and the Tutorials Forum.
To access the form to submit a new thumbnail, just click the appropriate button under "Update Imagery" above to the right. Your new thumbnail will show up after moderator approval.
Boeing Co. and the Navy have rolled out the new P-8A Poseidon patrol plane.
The Navy is buying 117 Poseidons to replace aging P-3 Orion turboprops. Flight tests are to start later this year, with the first jets in service in 2013.
The Navy plans to base Poseidon squadrons at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station in Washington state, at Jacksonville, Fla., and in Hawaii.
Welcome to VGT!
There were a couple of problems with your first submission. Please take a few minutes to read the FAQ http://virtualglobetrotting.com/faq/ and the tutorials in the Forums section. Also, please do not include actual street addresses of houses...thx
http://www.kwch.com/ Eyewitness News has confirmed the suspect in the shooting of Dr. George Tiller is in custody in the Kansas City area. Wichita police say the man was arrested near Gardner, KS at around 2:00 Sunday afternoon (05/31/2009).
the gate guardian is now visible in SV...I can't ID it though. http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF8&ll=34.154094,-116.247218&spn=0.008754,0.014634&z=16&lci=com.panoramio.all&layer=c&cbll=34.153783,-116.247209&panoid=O3TsdMmkH3Pf0dr2zz9SOA&cbp=12,313.78,,0,-10.45
I just uncovered the clue to finding it. http://www.wyland.com/wall/wall08.html reveals that the building was renamed "The Wyland Building". Found the address with google.
This is a Diplomatic Protection Group police car. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diplomatic_Protection_Group
if you go back to where the car is first seen, the image shows the license plate number and it is the same car that is pictured on the Wikipedia page.

"It is a 1962 Tempest, not a Lemans.. "
You are correct. Further research revealed that in 1962 the Tempest had an option package called LeMans as stated in the review at http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Overview-c7642-1962-Le-Mans.html
Maybe this one has a LeMans package or maybe not, but it is definitely a 1962 Tempest.
Even though I found another site that qualified, I have to take exception to this one being disqualified. You are looking for launcher sites, and it violates a rule. The Nike missile site category does note specify launcher sites, and Note 6 is not part of the category listing.
I don't know how to tell the difference between a race a boats traveling together. If this isn't a race, feel free to remove the scavenger hunt category...Thanks!
The problem with this one is the labels are turned. kjfitz et al got to the bottom of this problem yesterday...see comments on map http://virtualglobetrotting.com/map/49768/
