It works now because I fixed it for you. Just hang in there & don't get frustrated. By the way, the new map you submitted had the same problem as this one had originally. After you got the scene you wanted to submit, did you switch from Bird's eye to either Aerial or Road mode and then back to Bird's eye. That's the step that is absolutely necessary in order to get a good URL.
Follow these instructions to solve the problem you're having with URLs:
In the VGT viewer
After you have your scene lined up, you MUST switch out of Bird's Eye View then back into Bird's Eye View, re-adjust the zoom level and direction as needed. Verify your URL by selecting the URL link and click "Direct View". This will open the Bing Maps interface in a new tab/window. Note: the direction may be wrong, but if you can view your scene by just changing directions...
Going forward, instead of submitting a new map if you have a wrong thumbnail, please submit a new thumbnail by using the appropriate link under "Update Imagery" on the right above.
Go to Google Earth and click on the clock symbol in the toolbar. Then slide the slider back and forth to view different sets of imagery. The imagery dates will show up on the slider. If you have the GE v6.0 beta or newer, the imagery date will appear at the bottom left corner.
Note 10 - Not within 10k of a pre-existing post of the same category. i.e. if the category is Greek Ruin then there can not be another post in the VGT database for a Greek Ruin within 10k. Use the Nearby Maps button on the map submission page.
By the way you can now submit a BEV URL without doing the copy/paste coordinates thing. For this map you could have submitted the following URL and the submit form page would have accepted it.
I am using your original URL because it matches the thumb. The reason it didn't work is because "See Labels" was enabled. Going forward please disable labels before obtaining the URL.
To change the URL, put it in a comment & one of the moderators will change it. If you want to change the or add a thumbnail, use the appropriate button under "Update Imagery" above on the right pane.
