1917 – The Fremont Bridge, a double-leaf bascule bridge that connects Fremont and 4th Avenues N. 30 feet over Seattle’s Fremont Cut between Fremont and Queen Anne, opens.

2011 – The Boston Bruins defeated the Vancouver Canucks in game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals ending a 39 year championship drought.
