Pictures of the former USS Boulder are great, although a little saddening. I reported aboard her 8/11/74. I spentalmost 4 years aboard and traveled a substantial piece of the globe. I was a quarter master and the Sea and Anchor detail helmsman. Just sad to see her in a nursing home. I reported aboard at 17 yrs old. I just celebrated my 50th. |

Great story. It's always good to have the opportunity to match the image to actual events and lives. Thanks. |

Yes sad to see her like this. Yet still it is good to see Boulder. From 72-75 she was home to me. M-Div #3aux engine room. It was a good time. |

Hi Smoker, This is BM3 Ensminger. I served on the Boulder from '83-"87. My email is wallace_freedom@yahoo.com, if you want to contact me. Is there a William Sloan, or a Dale Baxter out there. Take care Smoker |
