Hjallerup Horse Fair is an annual fair dating back to the year 1744 when the holder of the local inn arranged a fair south of the place today. The holders of the inn was responsible for the fair over the years until 1965. Since 1966 the people of Hjallerup took over and arranged the fairs.

It's the biggest fair in Denmark and also most popular with over 200,000 visitors and more than 1,000 horses each year. Other animals are also presented, including a childrens fair showing their pets and farming animals.
