Italian Helicopter Cruiser 'Vittorio Veneto' (C550) (Birds Eye)
Vittorio Venetto was an helicopter cruiser decommissioned by the Italian Navy in 2005. Its primary missions were anti-submarine (ASW) and anti-air warfare (AAW). C550 Vittorio Veneto was equipped with 40 SM-1ER surface-to-air missiles, 20 ASROC missiles, four Otomat anti-ship missiles, eight 76mm anti-aircraft guns, three dual 40mm anti-aircraft guns and two triple 323mm torpedo tubes. The aft deck allowed for operation of up to six AB212 or SH-3 helicopters.
