A world renowned conductor of choral works, Sir Malcom Sargent spent two seasons from 1926 as the conductor of Rivière's Orchestra at the Llandudno pier pavilion.

'Professor' Walter Beaumont was a professional diver & showman, who gave regular exhibitions of his talents from the pier, between 1895 & 1909. He gave underwater displays in a tank in the Pier Pavilion's 'Egyptian Hall'. In 1903 after assisting with the rescue of 113 people off the coast, he was presented with an award by the people of Llandudno.
