The Tequila Volcano, or Volcán de Tequila is a volcano located near Tequila, Jalisco, in Mexico.

This volcano is not dangerous to its nearby communities, which are famous for producing the alcoholic beverage, tequila. The volcano rises to a height of 3,000 meters, or 10,000 feet, above sea level. This volcano is a stratovolcano or composite volcano. The Tequila Volcano last erupted 200,000 years ago. That eruption covered the area in rich volcanic soil, making the area ideal for the growth of blue agave, the most popular crop of the region.

The Tequila Volcano is unusual because it has a well-preserved central spine of material, which solidified in the centre, or central vent, of the volcano
