I wonder when the last time any of those jets flew, and if any could get off the ground? I imagine that they are basically "suicide machines" a la Japanese Zeros...
This is not so much a "Street View Error" as much as a show of what can happen when you're in the Spanish "back country" and stop at all the vineyards for a sample...
Century 21 Raceway opened in 1971, and closed after a short-lived heyday in 1974. There was a quarter mile dragstrip and a 3/8 mile paved oval/figure 8. A larger oval had been bulldozed, but never completed. There were also plans for a road course, but it was never started. Each spectator had their own individual swiveling bucket seat to watch all the action from, of which still remain but shot to smithereens. After the track closed, the cops used to 'allow' the kids to street race there, until...
Concerning my previous post, yes of course I understand the architect is well know and all, but Frank Gehry this is not. It's a house... Good map though.
And speaking of architects, I wonder who the "father" of the split level ranch style house is... Now there's a guy!
The waterway stretches for 135 miles and has 160 locks stretching between the two largest cities in England; London and Birmingham. The present Grand Union Canal only came into being in 1929 after a series of separate canals were amalgamated. This was in response to competition from improvements in vehicle technology and the development of new roads which were seen as a threat to the canals.
According to November 21, 1970, a dynamite fueled bomb exploded underneath the portico, doing $170,000 in damage. I was 7 and living in one of the more Bohemian neighborhoods with my hippie parents... The bomb actually exploded under the bell.
You can actually "drive" around this tower in Street View - there's NO GRAFFITI! Finland must have a different attitude about such things than Italy, where every square inch of Rome is covered in spray paint.
Just to the south is Indian Island where the Navy has a large weapons depot. Note the large dock. The Navy denies that they keep nukes there, on the other hand, note the trajectory of that sub...
I've driven by this place many times, it says "don't even think about even touching the fence" all over it...
Well, well, well! Props to the Waco Kidd... I hear the VG will be flying you to the South of France for an all-expenses paid extravaganza... Oh... Wait, I was watching Wheel of Fortune.
None the less, an outstanding achievement for VG and Mr. W.K.
No, it doesn't actually exist. Read the link, it's an anomaly that has made it onto a number of maps. People have gone out and varified that there is no island there.

It's interesting how you can see different versions of the exact same view in Street View, depending on how you get there.
For example, follow the Thumbnail above, and you see what is posted.
But, if you navigate there from...
