This paved area at McGuire Air Force Base shows an odd pattern of stripes. These have been seen at other military installations and were discussed, I recall, here at VGT. The most plausible explanation was that these lines were used in testing motorcycle operators.

The extreme western end appears to have a driving course.
It's a Motorcycle Safty Training layout.
On *all* US military bases, if you ride a cycle, you have to take a safety course.
