On Saturday 15th April 2023, during the SOTA Panamericano Weekend, a group of radio amateurs from the Goias State, Brazil reached the summit of this peak and activated it on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group. Group used the special callsign PS2OTA while at the summit.
They made 9 contacts in total working on the 20m amateur radio band.
The summit of this peak is 1275 metres (4183 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
