This has not been an RAF station, and has had no connection with the Ministry of Defence for at least 30 years! It is now owned and run by Airbus, with a small area to the east, which is occupied by Raytheon Inc., which overhauls and maintains business jets

I'm posting *any* site that was *ever* an RAF base as "RAF Whateversite". Many are no longer active RAF bases, of course.

It's an effort on my part to chronicle the many RAF bases in the UK before they disappear. See RAF Hooton Park for a good example: http://googleglobetrotting.com/info.php/mid/14181

It was very much n active RAF facility.
Ferrying aircraft from the factory to active squdrons.
There was also a maintenance unit who serviced planes during the war but also for many years afterwards were responsible for decommissioning many wartime aircraft.
