On Saturday 13th August 2022, Steve VA2SNL a radio amateur from Quebec, QC reached the summit of this peak, sometimes known as Mont du lac Renaud, and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.


He made 10 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF amateur radio band.
