On Saturday 16th July 2022 Eric VA2EO a radio amateur from Drummondville, QC reached the summit of Montagne du Malin and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 10 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF amateur radio band.
