On Saturday 16th July 2022 Eric VA2EO a radio amateur from Drummondville, QC reached the summit of Mont du lac Amesse and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 27 contacts in total working on the 40, 20, 17 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
