On Saturday 23rd March 2024, Brian BX2AKP, a radio amateur from Taiwan reached the summit of 奇萊北峰 (Qí Lái Běi Fēng ) (BV/HL-001) and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
