Öglögchiin Kherem translates as the ‘Almsgivers Wall’. This structure is a 3.2 km drystone wall made from uncut stones. It around a rocky slope in the Batshireet sum (district) of Mongolia.

The wall has not been accurately date but may date from the 8th century. its original purpose is unknown, but it was probably a defensive work or possibly a game reserve.

In 2002 a Chicago commodities broker. Murray Kravitz sponsored an archaeological search around the wall. Murray believed the tomb of Genghis Khan would be found in the area.

Evidence of human activity near the wall included a detritus of smooth post glacial rocks and the excavations did discover the body of a warrior as there were traces of lamellar armour surrounding the corpse. No DNA testing was, however carried out and the remains were returned to the grave.
