On Monday 8th August 2022 Michael OE7MPI/P a radio amateur from Austria reached the summit of Ackerlspitze and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 12 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF amateur radio band.
The summit Ackerlspitze is 2329 metres (7641 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
