On Saturday 20th August 2022, David VE6DTS a radio amateur from Strathmore, AB reached the summit of Baldy Mountain and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 10 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF radio band.
The summit of Baldy Mountain is 834 metres (2736 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
