Battersea Dogs and Cats home is a well known institution in the UK and possibly across the globe. It was established in 1860, by Mary Tealby, in Holloway and moved to this site in 1871. It homes rescued dogs and cats until they are found a new home. The three sites of the home are often seen on TV in the UK.
