On Wednesday 26th April 2023, Alan MM0VPM/P, a radio amateur from Scotland reached the summit of Beinn a'Ghlo - Carn nan Gabhar and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 11 contacts in total working on the 2m and 40m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Beinn a'Ghlo - Carn nan Gabhar is 1122 metres (3681 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
