On Thursday 28th July 2022 Fredi HB9BHU/P a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Bettemergrat and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 25 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 60. 40, 20 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Bettemergrat is 2872 metres (9423 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
