On Monday 4th July 2022 Steven W2SWA a radio amateur from Brookhaven, GA reached the summit of Blood Mountain and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 16 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF amateur radio band.
The summit of Blood Mountain is 1359 metres (4459 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
