On Saturday 23rd July 2022 Katsu JP3DGT/3 a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Busshougadake and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 10 contacts in total working on the 40 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Busshougadake is 1805 metres (5922 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
